Nurse With Unprepared Guitar

Prepared ‘skitter’ drums + ‘unprepared guitar’ + your basic Steven Stapleton ‘sewing machine meets an umbrella on a dissection table’ mix. A special thanks to Chet Singer for his ‘Prepared Guitar’ Reaktor ensemble, and Igor Shilov for the specially commissioned Reaktor ‘loopscanner’, used here for drum ‘skittering’.

Black Glass Duos (Number Steamed Chorales)

Glass Armonica Chorales based on integer sequences and a low dopamine quotient. The ‘steam punk‘ ambient drone thematic equalivent of Ennio Morricone’s ‘The Mission’ if  played in a Peruvian garage by Ben Franklin and remixed at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio 200 years later?

Le Frippatronic Cristal Couture

Robert Fripp/Brian Eno ‘Frippatronics’ inspired stylings played ala the custom glass instrument/sculpture, Bernard and Francois Baschet’s ‘Le Cristal’. Also, a few more percussive-based  improv variations on same instrument sprinkled in (can glass be sprinkled?). Sampled version of  ‘Le Cristal’ instrument courtesy of SonicCouture. Actual note performance based and expanded upon from the integer sequences found at Integer Sequence Encyclopedia.

Data Bent Acoustics

A decomposition of various traditional stringed and struck instruments, their  sampled ‘essence’ exploded onto a sonic topography and then ‘foraged’ back into playback by a hungry, wandering dot. The ‘Circuit Bending’ of acoustic sampled instruments? Special thanks ‘Leafcutter John’ and ‘Bolder Sounds’.
