Library Music For A Mutant

Library Music For A Mutant

‘…I intended to produce a language that situates itself between the musical and the dramatic field. The employment of elements of reality allow me to tell a history, or allow the listener to create images, since the montages propose ambiguities…’ (Luc Ferrari)

Xtreme reMixxxes

A collection of misc DSP abused pop artifacts. Conceptually, the Beatles ‘Revolution #9’ meets V/VM.

Classic Rock/Pop fodder including Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, America, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Black Sabbath, Neil Diamond, Steely Dan, Bily Joel, The Doors, and an endless cast of audio charactitures. If it’s ‘classically’ recognizable, I have failed 😉

Last One Out – (another Be@tles reMixxx)

Beatles, Reaktor, +

First pass prototypes. Design brief as follows:

Explore and create tracks from the last second(s) of the first two Beatles albums. Use Cubist, Impressionist, and other various abstract art concepts in technique development for the expansion of these last second(s) onto a larger ‘canvas’,  a sonic painting of time and mood.

Bonus…vintage analog hiss! Amazing what is in those last seconds, untouched by those resident label Illuminati of sonoric cleanliness 🙂

Technical notes:

This last second(s) was ‘framed and scoped’ using ‘Jambient’ and ‘Plasma’ ensemble variations to create initial tapestry. Then these ‘weaves’ were plied and stretched as ‘duos’ and trios’, the ensembles (musically speaking) developed and configured as ‘valid groupings’ per their multiples of time and pitch ranges of regular? instrumental combos choices…spectrally speaking.

Audiolage (Collage Trios)

‘Will you walk a little faster?’, said a whiting to a snail. ‘There’s a porpoise close behind us, and he’s treading on my tail. See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance! They are waiting on the shingle, will you come and join the dance?

Dedicated to Akira Rabelais and the late, great Frank Zappa (my Uncle Meat).
